Co-Founders Speak for International Women's Day
On Friday the 11th of March 2022, Co-Founder's of All For Her Gifts, Kiara Clemente & Emily Genoese had the opportunity to speak for International Women's Day.
Mount St Joseph Girl's College's called ex student Kiara Clemente and partner Emily to share their experiences on what it's like to be a Women in business in 2022.
In light of International Women's Day, Kiara explained that while the girls were not a fan of public speaking, they wanted to speak in-front of the +600 guests who attended the breakfast to jump outside of their comfort zone and to inspire the students to do the same.
Emily explained the in's and out's of running a business, which involves
'many sleepless nights, hard work and dedication. It also involves a lot of compromise, at some points in time it essentially takes over your day to day life and needs all your attention. I remember the earliest we use to go to bed in the planning phase was about 1am, which was unnatural to the both of us. Seeing your ideas come to life is extremely rewarding along with the excitement of unpacking new stock, reaching targets and receiving the most amazing messages from women thanking us for their gift makes those late nights that much more worth it.'
Both girl's shared what they believe a strong women encompasses and highlighted that, 'Successful women can be an entrepreneur like [Kiara's] mum, a housewife like our aunties, a store manager like Emily’s mum, a fitness instructor, an artist, a teacher and so on. It doesn’t matter what they do but the values they bring to those around them.'
Kiara & Emily, ended their speech with a few inspiring words to leave the Mount St Joseph's students feeling inspired to be a women.
'We are strong believers that as long as you have drive, determination, persistence and motivation we think you can achieve anything. It is hard to know what the future holds for all of us but if we surround ourselves with strong women, encourage and be kind to each other, we will have the confidence to deal with all the highs and lows that life brings us.
We just wanted to end on a quote which we think is quite relevant and ties in with international women's day, be the women who fixes another women's crown without telling the world it was crooked.'
